Don't miss the chance to get your hands on a physical copy of Ponte Pilas' sophomoric E.P., 'From Del Boca Vista'. Available only as a limited run, this record is the follow-up to their acclaimed debut 'Old Enough to Know Better'.

The record represents the mature sound of an indie-rock band operating at their highest level. Though the four tracks have a great deal of range, the band expand into new sonic territory with an electronic, Berlin-inspired, pounding chorus on ‘Working Too Much’ and lean into their Beatles influence on ‘In Vino Veritas’. ‘Too Much Scenery’ is perhaps the most ‘typical’ Ponte Pilas track, in that it sounds in keeping with the faster rock ’n’ roll numbers of their debut E.P. ‘So It Goes’ whilst ‘Keep On Walking’ is something of a new direction. Whilst the band have in the past released ballads, on their debut album ‘Old Enough to know Better’ for example, this song is the rawest lyrically and feels like an achingly intimate peek through the keyhole into a relationship coming to an end.

about

This record represents the mature sound of an indie-rock band operating at their highest level.

An eclectic mix of tracks, unified by ideas of trying to come to grips with the world in both global and extremely local terms, From Del Boca Vista showcases the best musical arrangements and songwriting of Ponte Pilas’ career to date. A powerful follow-up to their debut album, released last year, the band decamped to Madrid in order to work with Grammy-winning Lucas Piedra Cueva who elevated the tracks with his inspired engineering and mixing. Mastered by Victor Garcia, the fidelity of Ponte’s songs have never been higher nor their keen ear for radio friendly books and motifs more on point. There are singalongs aplenty despite the heady themes that are explored, with the band harnessing some of the live energy that has garnered them a loyal following in their native Berlin. Truly unmissable, the record looks poised to push the boys to their highest level and widest audience yet.
