“Sound & Colour” exhibits Ponte Pilas’ darker and more experimental side without compromising their characteristic energy and catchy melodies. The lyrics expose the constant battle against dark thoughts and anxieties that tear one away from the vibrancy and texture of living in the moment.

The lead vocals intimately explore these themes in the verse until exploding in the chorus, crying out for deliverance from this state. The talented Cloudy Verdecia supplies a powerful contrasting vocal, adding to the power of the song and building to an ecstatic climax, recalling The Stones’ “Gimme Shelter”.

The musical accompaniment comprises a driving drum part and memorable bass line that groove throughout the song. The guitars provide an ethereal, disjointed companion before tearing into a fuzz-dripping solo at the song’s peak.
